We’re proud to share that the FedEx Secondary 26 crew was recently recognized by FedEx for their outstanding performance during a critical task at the facility. Below is a statement from the general contractor, Flintco.

Koontz Team,
I would like to extend FedEx’s appreciation for the thoroughness and job well done during the LOTO and testing of the C-Circuit. FedEx recognizes risks that come with this work, and they appreciate the professionalism and dedication to safety that Koontz has put in. Koontz’s work during the past couple of weeks has not gone unrecognized.
I would also like to appreciate and shoutout Garrett Ludwig for raising his voice before testing MVDPC on Friday 03/06. Before beginning his test, he walked to Vista C to verify that everything was ready for testing. He noticed that the Vista needed a rubber insulating blanket, but he could not reach the Vista due to fresh concrete placed in the area. While the blanket was not necessarily a requirement, Garrett found it prudent to hold off on the testing until it was installed. The decision to wait until Monday to test (so that the blanket could be installed) was made.
There is a tendency to rush work, especially before the weekend, and that tendency often results in the injury of people or the need to rework an area. I appreciate the flexibility and honesty of Garrett during this moment; it ensured that this critical testing was done safely.
