The October Good Catch winner goes to the Mid-American Energy Crew in Council Bluffs, IA. While doing a demo job in the control house on wires that had been disconnected by a third party from the DC cabinet, the crew discovered the disconnected wires were still connected on the terminal block and that another set of wires landed in the same spot and were energized. By following proper safety procedures, the crew identified and eliminated a hazard that could have injured the crew and other personnel on-site.
