SCOPE OF WORK:

Replace wiring to the Control Room via the S-boards for seven (7) existing 15kV 3-phase synchronizing potential transformer cubicles.

Replace existing 230kV tubular aluminum bus segments for all phases, phase A, phase B, and phase C, at Lines 1 through 4 with new reconfiguration, including slip fittings and end caps.

Replace seven (7) existing manual group-operated disconnect switches and six (6) manually-operated ground switches with seven (7) new motorized group-operated disconnect switches(MOD’s) equipped with surge suppression resistors and seven (7) manual ground switches, including Kirk key interlocks and electrical interlocks. Six were 230kV, and the seventh was 115kV.

Provide (7) 480 volt – 240/120 volt step-down transformers and 120 volt load centers near existing 480 volt motor control centers (MCC’s) to provide power and control for the new MOD’s. Provided new 2-pole 480 volt breakers in the MCC’s to power the step-down transformers.

Provide new wire and cable connections to existing pistol grip control switches with red and green position indication lights for the seven new MOD switches, both locally at each S board and in the Control Room on the SC board.

Replace (3) 115kV and (18) 230kV surge arresters on the deck behind the GSU transformers.

Perform field acceptance testing and commissioning.

Perform visual inspections of the entire tubular bus system from GSU transformer bushings to the line connection including horizontal sections on both sides of the disconnect switches.

Perform 100% visual inspection on the steel lattice structures for the disconnect switches.
