Scope of work consisted of installation of electrical equipment including breakers, reactors, disconnect switches, arrestors, lightning masts, aluminum bus and conductor, light fixtures, and support structures.
New Russellville East Reactor Yard:
· 3000 amp 161kV 63kA gas circuit breaker (B1235)
· single phase 3000 amp 161kV 10 Ohm air-core reactors
· 3000 amp 161kV vertical break MOS disconnect switches
· 3000 amp 161kV vertical break disconnect switches
· 161kV tubular low switch support structures
· porcelain post equipment insulators (18 for switches, 24 for reactor supports)
· 4” Sch. 40 aluminum tubing and fittings
· 954 ACSR (Rail) for bundled jumpers
· 954 ACSR (Rail) for bus damping
· H-Frame dead-end structure with bus support beam
· H-frame dead end structure with high bus support beam and 10’ shield masts
· 161kV single phase tubular low bus support structures
· 161kV single phase tubular high bus support structures
· 161kV porcelain post bus support insulators
· 161kV suspension insulators
· 98kV, 115MCOV station class arresters
· 161kV single phase tubular arrester equipment supports structures
· 954 ACSR (Cardinal) for bundled risers

· Provide and install above ground conduit, including flex conduit
· Install above-ground 19#9 copper weld ground pigtails to ground equipment.
Existing Russellville East substation yard:
· 3000-amp 161kV 63kA gas circuit breaker (B1225), including:
o Removal of existing breaker and trap per A3261DD1 through DD4.
o Modification of B1225 foundation (see A3261F08 and A3261SD5)
· new 954 ACSR risers
· Provide and install above ground conduit, including flex conduit
· Install above-ground 19#9 copper weld ground pigtails to ground equipment
This project was completed on time and under budget.
