Scope of Work

This section covers the technical specifications to perform, all work required to install government furnished 13.8kV generator switchgear, 480V station service switchgear and two station service transformers, as well as modification of units 1, 2, and 3 generator non-segregated phase bus, for St. Stephen powerhouse. This section is a general summary of the required work and is not all-inclusive. The work described within these specifications shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following:

Remove existing 13.8kV switchgear for unit1, unit 2, and unit 3.

Remove existing 480V station service switchgear.

Remove two (2) existing station service transformers.

Install three (3) government furnished 13.8kV switchgear lineups for unit 1, unit 2, and unit 3.

Install government furnished 480V switchgear.

Install two (2) government furnished station service transformer.

Reuse or replace the 15kV bus extension and transition sections. Contractor may optionally use the three (3) government furnished transition sections. Otherwise, modify the existing non-segregated metal enclosed bus and install the new bus extension and transition sections to connect the new 13.8kV switchgear to the existing generator bus. Furnish all bus connectors and fasteners for units 1, 2, and 3 to make a complete operational system.

Perform necessary commissioning and testing.
