Congratulations to Billy Jackson’s hydroelectric power crew for winning this month’s Good Catch award! On September 3rd, 2024, the team showed outstanding safety awareness while replacing feeder circuits on a 480 VAC switchgear. After signing onto the clearance, they followed their safe work process and discovered a back-fed hot feeder that could have caused severe hazards.
Led by Billy Jackson, the team, including Brandon Holder, Logan McCoy, Blade Brand, Logan Goodman, Shon Hastings, River Robinson, and Blake Inman, held a safety standdown to reinforce the critical lesson: always treat the equipment as energized, even when it’s supposed to be off. Their commitment to safety sets a powerful example for us all.
